Overview
Our customer, a renowned Food and Beverages giant operating in over 200 countries, faced operational challenges within their $79 billion business. With a sprawling data lake serving multiple environments, performance issues and data security risks necessitated a significant transformation. The goal was to establish new environments for development and production, ensuring better governance, release management, resolving performance bottlenecks, and achieving rapid development cycles, and providing enough redundancy.
The Challenge
The program was challenges as the environment was a complex one fed from multiple data sources and training and running models that had no maintenance teams. The insights and forecasts were feeding marketing decisions downstream of several retail stores. Hence no there could be no interruption of service. No development teams remained in the organization as the ML models were deployed a long time ago.
